WOMEN’S NIKE ZOOM STRUCTURE TRIAX+ 12: BUY IT

Trialer: I am female who runs approximately 20 miles per week, mainly on the road and the treadmill.

What three features are most important for you in a running shoe?
Comfort, how quickly it wears out and good support.

What were your initial thoughts after trying it on? Too tight? Too loose? Just right?

Forefoot fit
I had a few pains after a long run and got blisters on my forefeet but I ALWAYS get blisters no matter what type of shoes/socks I wear.

Length fit
Perfect fit for my size- not too tight, not too loose.

Heel fit
Good fit. Could have a little more cushioning.

Overall fit
Good overall fit, once tied properly (wanted to tie them “all the way” but laces were a little short).

What did you think of the fit and feel after your first run? After several runs?
The first run (a short run on the treadmill) was great, and I loved the shoes. The second run gave me a little more to comment on: a 16 mile road run. The run itself went fine, but I got blisters on my left forefoot (normal for me) and had a bit of heel pain afterward. Other than that, the support was good, the fit was great, and once I figured out I needed to tie them all the way (which I don’t always do but had to because I didn’t have enough ankle support otherwise), I had comfortable runs.

Is the cushioning adequate? In the right places?
Cushioning is good and shoes are comfortable. A little extra cushioning in the heel might help.

What about stability? Did the shoe provide enough? Too much?
Stability was perfect! The shin splint pains I usually deal with were not present during any of the runs I did with these shoes.

What is your favorite feature of the shoe?
It was an overall great shoe. The comfort might be my favorite feature; they are perfect for treadmill runs.

Is there something you would change about it?
The laces were a little too short.

How does it compare to the shoe you normally run in?
I really enjoyed the shoe the first run, a 5 mile run on the treadmill. My long runs went well, but I did have some foot pain after (in the heel and forefoot with blisters on my forefoot). But who doesn’t after 16 miles?! :)

Would you recommend this shoe to a fellow runner or friend?
Definitely!
